Multi-protocol catalog apps: 9XTREAM, ONE STREAM and XTREAM with download
Not every app in your catalog is a basic player. Three specific apps support multiple protocols at once (M3U, Xtream, Stalker, MAC). Useful for special cases.
Most IPTV apps work with a single login protocol at a time. But for some customers — especially resellers juggling lists from multiple providers or technical users — you need apps that accept multiple formats in the same install.
In our catalog there are 3 apps tagged as "multi-protocol":
9XTREAM
The most versatile in the catalog. Accepts:
- M3U (public URL)
- Xtream Codes (username + password + URL)
- Stalker portal (MAC + portal URL)
- Local lists (.m3u imported via USB)
Who it is for: power-user customers who switch between providers, or resellers who need to test lists fast without installing 3 different apps.
ONE STREAM
Lighter version, supports M3U + Xtream + Stalker. Without some of 9XTREAM's extra features, but faster on modest TV Boxes.
Who it is for: Smart TV / Box with low RAM (1–2 GB) where 9XTREAM feels heavy.
Xtream with Download
Xtream Codes plus the ability to download movies and series for offline viewing. A rare feature in IPTV apps — most of your customers will not need it, but those who do, pay more for it.
Who it is for: customers with unstable connections (rural, mobile data) who want to watch content without live streaming.
When NOT to use multi-protocol
For the average residential customer who is only going to use one IPTV list from one provider, you do not need multi-protocol. Any app from the Smarters family or IBO will do, and is simpler to configure.
Multi-protocol adds onboarding complexity (more questions for the customer, more chance of a config error). Use it only when the case justifies it.
Quick comparison
| App | Best for | Recommendation |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 9XTREAM | Power-users, multi-list | Default if in doubt |
| ONE STREAM | Modest TV Boxes | If 9XTREAM is slow |
| Xtream with Download | Bad connections | Very specific case |
For Roku
If your customer is on Roku, none of the multi-protocol apps will help — Roku has its own path. For Roku we have Thunder Player, which supports native Xtream Codes and multi-account linked per device.
