XCIPTV 910 vs Smarters: the technical decision for Android TV in 2026
XCIPTV is the app many resellers prefer over Smarters for Android TV. Here is why, compared to the most stable Smarters version in the catalog.
If you are going to sell on serious Android TV (Sony Bravia, Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV), you have two finalists: XCIPTV and Smarters Pro V4. Both work, but they have different philosophies.
XCIPTV 910
Philosophy: app dedicated to TV with a remote. UI built for the "10-foot UI" — large buttons, D-pad navigation, no touch required.
What it does best:
- Remote-control navigation without frustration.
- Visible, well-rendered EPG.
- Fast channel switching (no app reload).
- Stable on modest hardware (TV Box with 2 GB RAM).
Where it falls short vs Smarters:
- Fewer variants/themes available.
- VOD catalog looks less "premium" without heavy TMDB integration.
Smarter V4.03 (Smarters representative)
Philosophy: universal app, runs on phone/tablet/TV with the same UI adapted.
What it does best:
- Multiple variants to differentiate your brand.
- VOD catalog with optional TMDB integration.
- Huge user base — easy to Google solutions.
Where it falls short vs XCIPTV:
- Can lag on modest TV Boxes.
- The UI was designed for mobile and "adapted" to TV — not as natural with a remote.
Quick decision

The real detail
XCIPTV is less rebrandable visually than Smarters. If you want your brand to pop with unique colors, Smarters gives you more control. If you just want it to run great on TV, XCIPTV is more stable.
When in doubt, the default is still Smarter V4.03 because it covers 80% of cases without surprises. XCIPTV is the bet when you already know the customer's device and you know it is TV-only.
