Resellers, credits and activation codes: sell your streaming app without sharing your admin login
How the Streamflix panel handles resellers, credits, plans and single-use activation codes, so you can grow sales without handing out your admin access.
Selling to customers one by one does not scale. The Streamflix panel is designed so that you sell to resellers, they sell to customers, and nobody needs your admin password.
Three roles

A reseller can also have sub-resellers, if you allow it. You decide that reseller by reseller.
Credits: the currency of the panel
Every plan has a cost in credits. You top up a reseller with the amount they paid (this feeds the month's revenue on your dashboard) or adjust their balance up and down. When the reseller creates or renews an account, the cost is deducted automatically.
The reseller list shows each reseller's balance, how many active accounts they have, their status and last access. A reseller who has sub-resellers can transfer or withdraw credits.
Plans
A plan has a name, a duration in days, a cost in credits, the devices allowed, a suggested price, a feature list and an option to mark it as a trial. Renewing adds the plan's days on top of the current expiry date, or from today if the account already expired.
Activation codes
Instead of creating accounts one by one, a reseller can generate batches of codes in the format `XXXX-XXXX-XXXX`. Each code is single-use and tied to a plan. The credits are deducted when the code is generated, and returned if you cancel it before it is used. In the app, a code creates a new account or renews the existing one.
Everything is logged
Every action is recorded in Activity: who did what and from which IP. Customer and reseller passwords are stored hashed and shown only once, when they are created or reset, together with a message ready to copy and send.
